Rotherfield FC Vets holds two minutes silence with Jarvis Brook Vets on Remembrance Sunday

This weekend, Rotherfield FC remembered those fallen in conflict. Over the weekend all players paused for a moment to reflect and respect those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in war.

Rotherfield Sports Club Secretary Elliot Ridley-Smith attended the annual service of remembrance on the Ashdown Forest Airman's Grave on behalf of the club.

Thousands of people come to the service on a site where a Wellington bomber crash landed returning from Germany and killing all 6 young young men on board, the eldest only 27 years old. Elliot laid a poppy wreath at the site, along with a number of local organisations, on behalf of Rotherfield Sports Club.

Rotherfield FC has also lost members in war, most notably the Green Boys who played for Rotherfield pre 1st World War but most did not return.
